John,

Over the past few weeks, a lot of you have reached out to me to share concerns about the presidential race and everything happening in the news. We’re all wondering what this means for the November election, and the future of our country beyond that.

Here’s my honest answer: I don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t think anyone does.

But here’s what I do know: our race here in NY-19 is going to be one of the most competitive in the entire country – it may even decide who controls the House. And winning here is even more important now than ever.

If Democrats control the White House next year, they’re going to need allies in the House to codify Roe and deliver progress for Upstate New Yorkers. And if we fall short at the top of the ticket, we’ll need a Democratic House to stand strong against extremists who would ban abortion, slash Medicare and Social Security, and roll back all our hard-fought wins.

So I’m channeling all my energy and focus into doing everything I can to flip this seat, and I hope you will too. If you’re with us, please consider chipping in a few bucks to support our grassroots campaign.
