This is really cool, John: I was voted the best politician in Durham County by INDY magazine!

While this is an incredible honor, and I’m proud to be a Durhamite, there was a much more urgent takeaway…

Right now, the NC State legislature is passing an extremist agenda that leaves Durhamites feeling unheard – to the point that they’re moving out of our state.

They’re moving to states that have access to abortion, better gun control laws, and generous funding for public schools. To be clear, the NC GOP is attacking our right to all of these.

I don’t want our community to be driven out by the fascist agenda in Raleigh. That’s why I’m working around the clock to defeat extremists across the state and secure progressive victories.

But that work isn’t cheap, John. If we’re going to reach voters ahead of the election, I’m going to need strong grassroots support from folks like you.
