Proud Union Members,

Today, President Joe Biden announced he would step aside as the Democratic nominee. We should take a moment to thank the president for his decades of service to America and for being a staunch and steadfast defender of democracy here at home and across the globe.

Our mission, always crucial, takes on even more importance in this moment. You all have shown not one moment of panic nor passivity in the face of Donald Trump and his dystopian, un-American vision.

Over the past two years, you have built a coalition, from coast to coast, across parties, and groups that is second-to-none in this fight. We must redouble our efforts and our dedication as we take President Biden’s action for our inspiration: Country before self. Democracy before all.

There is much more to be said and done. For now, onward to November!
