Dear John,
As we continue to navigate this pandemic, we want to keep our commitment and continue to provide you with the latest information available.
Yesterday, the Senate approved a potential fourth stimulus package which would allocate $480 billion in funding to assist businesses hurt by the current COVID-19 outbreak. The House is anticipated to vote on the legislation tomorrow, Thursday, April 23.
This new funding, if passed by the House, would include:
- $320 billion to replenish the Paycheck Protection Program, with $60 billion set aside for smaller lenders
- $75 billion authorized for hospitals and health care providers
- $25 billion authorized to facilitate and expand COVID-19 testing
Throughout this pandemic, we have been in communication with our members trying to fully understand where our greatest needs are as a community. And we hear you. Business owners are concerned about the availability of funding and ensuring that the smallest businesses have the same opportunities as larger ones. Which is why, we put out a call to action to members of Congress regarding the importance of securing funds for those most in need and those who have limited access to lenders.
With the House voting on this legislation as early as tomorrow, you can take action TODAY to ensure your voice is heard - tell your members the importance of equal opportunity for ALL businesses to access loans.
Stay healthy,
Wa'el Alzayat
CEO
