This is a big deal. In the last two campaigns for Washington Governor when there was no incumbent, like this one, the Times endorsed Republican Dino Rossi over Chris Gregoire and Republican Rob McKenna over Jay Inslee.
Here’s what The Seattle Times had to say about Bob in their endorsement:

Meanwhile, the Seattle Times highlighted that anti-choice Republican Dave Reichert “offered conflicting views on a wide range of issues, saying one thing to the editorial board and another to his supporters.”
