Dear Comrades,
During these unprecedented times, it is more important than ever to stand in solidarity and continue to be present in the fight against injustice. Our workers need hazard pay. Our workers need paid sick leave. Our workers need adequate protections. Our workers need medicare for all. Our workers need a clean planet and clean future. We demand these needs be met! Join us in the fight today.
As a reminder our General Meeting is tomorrow at 6:30p! Please register on our Registration Page if you haven't done so already. This is a Zoom meeting hosted by Akron DSA and can be accessed via smartphone or desktop/laptop. If you are having any trouble registering, please reach out to steering directly via email or on Slack.
We will be using this time as an open space to discuss what's going on, what we're doing to help, how we're spending our time, what resources we need and more. It is important that our members have a space where they can be heard and can ask for support.
We will also be discussing what our plans are around the Bernie Sander's campaign and how to use that momentum to teach people about what DSA means and how they can get involved.
Election updates for the primary and general as well as an open conversation around any questions, thoughts, or ideas that relate to the upcoming election will be discussed during our general meeting as well.
