Welcome back to Team Elise's weekly newsletter! We send a note to Elise's
supporters weekly to update them on what she's working on in Capitol Hill and
across NY-21.

2024 Republican National Convention


This week, Elise attended the Republican National Convention. From delivering
a primetime address to serving as Chair of the New York Delegation. . . these
are some highlights of the packed week:


ELISE DELIVERS PRIMETIME ADDRESS ON TUESDAY


Elise delivered a primetime address at the GOP Convention on Tuesday. The
theme for day two was “Make America Safe Once Again”. Following her speech,
Elise tweeted –


“I have been proud to always stand in the breach during the toughest moments
for President Donald Trump and I will continue to fight alongside him to
#SaveAmerica. With President Trump back in the White House we will make America
safe once again!”

“We always say that this is the most important election in our lifetime. But
we know deep down, this one truly is.


Our Constitution and the soul of our very nation are on the ballot. Under Joe
Biden, the American people have suffered crisis after crisis. From the Biden

highest rate of inflation in my lifetime, devastating hardworking families with
skyrocketing prices for groceries, gas, and utilities.

ELISE CASTS NEW YORK’S 91 DELEGATE VOTES FOR PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP


Serving as Chair of the New York GOP Delegation to the Republican National
Convention, House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik cast all of
New York's 91 votes for President Donald J. Trump. Elise stated –


"President Donald J. Trump will always be a New Yorker, and New York will
always love President Donald J. Trump. We believe that President Donald J.
Trump will be the first Republican in a generation who will win New York State.
It is my honor as representative for New York's 21st Congressional District,
House Republican Conference Chair, on behalf of the 91 New York delegates to
the Republican National Convention, we proudly cast all 91 votes for President
Donald J. Trump."

ELISE MEETS WITH TRUMP 47 JEWISH LEADERSHIP COALITION


On Wednesday morning, Elise attended the Trump 47 Jewish Leadership event with
Senator Joni Ernst to unify Jewish support for President Trump. Elise has been
a staunch advocate for Israel and Jewish students who have experienced
antisemitism on campus.

ELISE AND CONGRESSMAN MICHAEL WALTZ MEET WITH GOLD STAR FAMILIES


On Wednesday afternoon, Elise and Congressman Michael Waltz sat down with the
Gold Star families who addressed the convention later in the evening. Following
their meeting, Elise stated on X –


“While in Milwaukee at the [GOP Convention], [Congressman Waltz] and I met
with Gold Star families who lost loved ones in the disastrous and catastrophic
Afghanistan withdrawal.

They deserve accountability from the Biden Administration and a
Commander-in-chief who values the lives and sacrifices of our brave service
members.”

ELISE AND NEW YORK REPUBLICANS DECLARE NEW YORK IS IN PLAY


On Tuesday morning, Elise spoke to the press alongside her New York Republican
colleagues Claudia Tenney, Nicole Malliotakis, and Mike Lawler. Elise reminded
the crowd that President Trump is polling ahead of Biden in every swing
district in the state and predicted that Republicans will gain another House
seat in November. Elise said –


“We are tapped into and listening to New Yorkers who are feeling. . . the
detriment and consequences of New York’s failed Democrat economic leadership
with higher taxes, more regulations pushing people out of the state”

ELISE JOINS THE RIGHT VIEW WITH LARA TRUMP


On Wednesday, Elise joined The Right View with Lara Trump, where she discussed
President Trump’s hero’s welcome at the Convention, Vice Presidential nominee
J.D. Vance, and Trump’s growing support in New York. Following the segment,
Elise posted on X –


“This is the most unified the GOP has been in generations and I am proud to

Elise spoke at the New York Delegation breakfast on Thursday morning. With 500
attendees, the Empire State had the largest delegation in Milwaukee and the
excitement was palpable for the final day of the GOP Convention.

PRESIDENT TRUMP DELIVERS HISTORIC KEYNOTE ADDRESS TO CONCLUDE THE TERRIFIC GOP
CONVENTION

Less than a week after surviving a horrific assassination attempt, President
Trump delivered an inspiring and historic address to finish off the most
successful GOP Convention in history.


President Trump stated in part –


“To every citizen — whether you are young or old, a man or woman, Democrat,
Republican, or Independent, black or white, Asian or Hispanic — I extend to you
a hand of loyalty and friendship.

Together, we will lead America to new heights of greatness like the world has
never seen.”

Elise Introduces Bill to Support Healthcare Access for Military Moms


On Friday, Elise introduced the Military Moms Act to support our service
members, dependents, and their growing families. This legislation deems
pregnancy a Qualifying Life Event (QLE), allowing those on TRICARE to enroll in
a new plan that better suits the mother’s needs. It also incorporates aspects
of theImproving Access to Maternal Health for Military and Dependent Moms Act,
which Elise introduced in February 2024. These provisions require the
Department of Defense to prepare a comprehensive report on maternal healthcare
in the military health system and consolidate all of its maternal resources in
a single webpage for new and expecting families.

Trump Witch Hunt Dismissed In Court


On Monday, federal Judge Aileen Cannon dismissed the case brought by Special
Counsel Jack Smith. She ruled that Smith’s appointment by Attorney General
Merrick Garland was unconstitutional because it did not come from the President
of the United States nor was it approved by Congress. Elise gave the following
statement after the opinion was released–


“I applaud Judge Aileen Cannon for having the courage and wisdom to dismiss
corrupt Jack Smith’s unconstitutional witch hunt against President Trump. As I
have been saying from the beginning, this sham case against President Trump
violated our Constitution. Only Congress can create new officers and spend
taxpayer money. However, Biden’s corrupt Department of Justice tried to shred
the Constitution with the appointment of their so called “special counsel” Jack
Smith as part of their desperate illegal lawfare campaign against President
Trump.

Today marks a historic victory for our Constitution and the rule of law. This
dismissal is not just a win for President Trump but a triumph for the
principles our nation was founded upon. Our country must come together and
unite to end the weaponization of our justice system and restore equal justice
under the law.”

President Trump Selects Senator J.D. Vance to be Vice President


On Monday, President Trump announced Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio as his Vice
Presidential candidate. Elise stated–


“President Trump made a strong VP choice to win this November and govern to
save America. J.D. Vance is a strong America First leader and proven
conservative. I have enjoyed getting to know J.D. on the campaign trail as
surrogates for President Trump and I look forward to campaigning and working
with him closely in the months and years ahead. I am humbled and honored to
have been considered by President Trump throughout this process. Thank you to
my constituents in NY-21, House Republican Conference colleagues, and family
for their love, support, and encouragement. As I have always said, I will
proudly work my very hardest to elect President Trump and Vice President Vance
this November to win the White House, flip the Senate, and expand the House
Republican Majority.”

Elise Calls for Secret Service Director Cheatle to Resign


Following the horrific assassination attempt last weekend, Elise spoke with
President Trump on Sunday morning. She helped rally support for President
Trump’s approved fundraiser helping victims and their families and on Wednesday
called for United States Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle to resign
given her complete failure to carry out the agency’s primary mission of
protecting President Trump.

Elise stated –


“The Director of USSS and Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security have
abysmally failed to deliver immediate transparency and answers that are owed to
the American people. Most importantly, it was an absolute massive security
failure leading to the assassination attempt on President Donald J. Trump on
Saturday. I am calling for the immediate resignation of USSS Director Kimberly
Cheatle. We will work to ensure ALL answers and transparency are immediately
delivered to the American people."

Elise Introduces TRACKS Act with Senator Joni Ernst


On Thursday, Elise joined Senator Joni Ernst to reintroduce the Tracking
Receipts to Adversarial Countries for Knowledge of Spending (TRACKS) Act. This
legislation brings much needed transparency after it was discovered that over
$1.3 billion of American tax dollars have gone to Russia and Communist China
for research in recent years. It requires recipients and subrecipients of
federal grants or contracts to disclose every transaction with entities located
in adversarial countries. The need to report exactly where the entity is
located, the purpose of the expenditure, and account for every penny disbursed.
Furthermore, these reports must be made available to the general public. Elise
stated–


“I am proud to join Senator Joni Ernst in reintroducing the TRACKS Act
ensuring that no American taxpayer dollars are used to fund our foreign
adversaries. It is inexcusable that the Department of Defense publicly admitted
that they are not tracking taxpayer dollars going to Communist China. We cannot
allow a single penny from hardworking Americans to go to foreign adversaries
actively working against America and our interests. This desperately needed
legislation ensures that bureaucrats are held accountable for their reckless
and irresponsible spending that is lining the pockets of countries like
Communist China.”

Storms Wreak Havoc Throughout NY-21


On Tuesday, Elise spoke with WKTV on the floor of the GOP Convention to
discuss the storm cell that produced a tornado, flooding, and excessive damage
across NY-21. Elise said –


“[We’re] working very hard with local elected officials with the flooding
issues and the tornado that touched down in Rome. I’ve been in touch with local
elected officials about that today and our office is working to make sure
resources are available. . . I’ve already been in touch with the County
Executive, I’ve been in touch with the Mayor today about making sure that
resources for small businesses [are available]. We have worked on this over the
years with FEMA and we are committed to delivering those results for families
who have been devastated.”


On Wednesday morning, Elise posted on X –


“I’ve been in touch with local officials in Rome, NY and Oneida County to
ensure we deliver the resources needed to families and small businesses
impacted by the tornado and flood damage.

Praying for everyone’s safety in Upstate New York. We will continue to act
quickly alongside [Congressman Brandon Williams] in providing relief and
support.”

Later that evening, Elise shared the following update from National Grid NY
and added–


“My office has been in contact with local officials from Fulton, Herkimer,
Jefferson, Montgomery, Oneida, Ostego, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schoharie, St.
Lawrence, Warren, and Washington counties to discuss the impact of yesterday’s
storms.

In Warren County, [National Grid] will have a dry ice distribution center set
up at the Warrensburg Fire House at 18 Elm St tomorrow.”
