Joyce Craig for Governor

I’m reaching out to share my personal experience with reproductive healthcare and why I’ll never stop fighting to ensure all Granite Staters have access to the care they need.

Hi, John. Joyce Craig here.

I’m reaching out to share my personal experience with reproductive healthcare and why I’ll never stop fighting to ensure all Granite Staters have access to the care they need.

This is a bit of a longer read, so if you’re short on time, please consider chipping in to my grassroots campaign for Governor so we can defend reproductive rights here in New Hampshire.

After having our first two children, my husband Mike and I decided to grow our family again.

I suspected something was wrong during my pregnancy. I remember that feeling during my ultrasound when the nurse kept shifting positions, trying to find a heartbeat. It never came and my doctor confirmed that I had miscarried.

Mike and I were devastated. Those plans for the future had to be put away, and I had to make the decision on how to move forward. What I took for granted at the time was that I had the ability to have a D&C procedure and end my pregnancy without interference.

Nearly 25 percent of pregnancies end in miscarriage, and Roe v. Wade protected our right to decide how to end these pregnancies with our doctors and provided every woman the right to bodily autonomy. That is no longer the case in many states, and ever since the Dobbs decision, our reproductive rights have been in jeopardy.

Here in New Hampshire, Republicans have proposed 15-week and even 15-day abortion bans. These extreme restrictions threaten our right to privacy. We cannot take our rights for granted. Because of the Dobbs decision, they can be taken away by extreme anti-choice legislators.

I’m running for Governor of New Hampshire because I believe these decisions belong to women, not politicians. But right now, New Hampshire is the only state in New England that does not have a law protecting access to abortion.

That’s why this election is so important. My opponent, MAGA Republican Kelly Ayotte, voted TWICE to ban abortion nationally, supported laws that would limit access to IVF, and even voted to defund Planned Parenthood six times!

I’ll never stop fighting for our reproductive rights. I am the only candidate for Governor with a comprehensive plan to protect and expand reproductive freedom. We will codify access to abortion and make reproductive health care more accessible for everyone.

John — can you help protect reproductive rights in New Hampshire by chipping in $10 to our grassroots campaign today? We’re up against billionaire MAGA donors, and every contribution makes a difference.
