Last weekend, in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy of an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump and the death of an innocent bystander, Georgia Rep. Mike Collins used the moment to accuse President Joe Biden of “sending the order.”
Instead of rallying the country and calling for unity, Collins used the moment and confusion to dangerously further stoke the fires of division and hatred.
This week, we learned that the would be assassin was a deeply troubled young man who struck out at Trump simply because he was the closest target he could find.
