John,

J.D. Vance, the Ohio Senator and now Republican nominee for Vice President, is no friend to working people and livable communities. He only visited a picket line for the first time in his life last fall. But my friend Marcy Kaptur was right there to greet him.

J.D. Vance visits a picket line for the first time. Marcy Kaptur is there to greet him.

Marcy is one of the most important members of Congress. She's been in Republican crosshairs for years as they've fought to redistrict her out of existence. She has survived challenging primaries and general elections. But now, she is in one of the toughest fights in the country. She was one of just five Democrats who prevailed in a Trump-won district. That means Republicans are doubling down to defeat her.

And no wonder they want her out. She uses her voice to speak up for workers' rights, agricultural reform, and the middle class. She stands up to the corrupt Republican legislative majority in Ohio and stands out as a symbol of courage, legislative competence, and a strong voice for the underdog.

I hope you'll consider splitting a contribution of $17 or more right now between Marcy's campaign and the progressive movement right here in the Pacific Northwest. To win this November, we need to invest in tough races and tough fighters like Marcy.

Thank you for your support,

Earl
