James, we’ve seen the chilling impact of the far right’s relentless quest to stack the courts and one thing is clear…we can no longer depend on an independent judiciary to hold Trump accountable. It's up to all of us.
Bernie Sanders is sounding the alarm, saying if Trump wins, “It will be the end of democracy.” Will you stand with Bernie and pledge to do everything you can to defeat Trump?
Trump bragged last year that he “totally transformed the federal judiciary.” For once he wasn’t lying. His 234 judicial nominees (including three Supreme Court justices) are methodically dismantling decades of legal precedent and decimating the rule of law.
They overturned Roe v. Wade. They ended affirmative action. They stripped the EPA and other federal agencies of regulatory power. And then they granted the president absolute immunity while in office.
Just when it was hard to imagine it could get any worse, this week Trump appointee Judge Aileen Cannon DISMISSED his classified documents case in Florida. And she lifted the reasoning for her decision DIRECTLY from an opinion written by Clarence Thomas on a totally unrelated case.
These compromised, far-right judges are shameless in their plan to let Trump completely off the hook for all the criminal cases he faces. And we know another Trump term would be much, much worse.
It’s up to all of us to act now to stop the end of American democracy.

Bernie called SCOTUS, “a right-wing, corporate-sponsored Supreme Court that continues to serve an extremist agenda.”
But Judge Cannon’s decision earlier this week giving Trump a free pass for illegally hoarding classified documents and obstructing FBI efforts to get them back makes it clear that our problem is even deeper than the Supreme Court.
The writing is on the wall: we can no longer rely on an independent judiciary to protect us from Trump. And if they’re not going to rein him in, it’s up to all of us to do it.
We must do everything in our power to stop Trump from getting back in office. Then, we’ll take on the compromised judiciary, standing with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s articles of impeachment against SCOTUS justices.
