Team, it’s truly incredible how far the GOP has fallen.

In Trump’s speech to the RNC, he praised Viktor Orban — the repressive Hungarian leader who has undermined democracy in his own country for more than a decade.

Orban met with Trump in Mar-a-Lago just a little while ago, right after Orban had traveled to meet with Putin and Xi Jinping.

We know that Trump is a big fan of these kinds of leaders, from Putin, to Orban, to Xi, to Kim Jong Un in North Korea. He’s praised them, he’s positioned himself to align with them, and in the case of Putin he’s reworked the majority of the Republican Party to enable his illegal and immoral invasion of Ukraine.

Just thirty years ago the Republican Party would have rejected Trump without hesitation. Today, he leads them.

If the GOP won’t stand against dictators around the world, won’t stand for democracy, for our allies, and for the international order that has built unprecedented prosperity and peace… it falls to us.

It’s up to Democrats to defeat Donald Trump, the MAGA-right, and the Republicans who would see him roll back decades of progress and throw the world into chaos.
