The corrupt Supreme Court is doing the bidding of powerful corporations and billionaires, which is harming all of us.

Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito have received luxury vacations and lavish gifts worth millions of dollars from billionaires with business before the Court—and then failed to recuse themselves from those cases.

We need urgent action to reform the Court and protect our rights, which is why I’ve cosponsored bills to hold Justices Thomas and Alito accountable and to enforce higher ethical standards, including the High Court Gift Ban Act.

If passed, the High Court Gift Ban Act would prohibit Supreme Court justices from receiving gifts valued over $50, with an aggregate limit of $100 annually. This would help ensure that judicial decisions are free from undue influence, bringing us closer to a fair and impartial judiciary—a crucial part of a well-functioning democracy that’s truly of, by, and for the people.

Thank you for taking action to reform the Supreme Court. We can’t let unelected judges keep tearing away our rights, including the right to housing, to access abortion care, and to drink clean water and breathe clean air.

As you may know, the far-right majority on the Court just criminalized homelessness, gutted the power of federal agencies to keep the public safe, ruled that presidents may break the law with impunity, blocked the EPA’s ability to regulate air pollution across state lines, and more.

I will continue to demand change, including pursuing articles of impeachment for Supreme Court justices who have taken bribes from billionaires with cases before the Court. Together, we’ll keep building a government that works for all of us, not just the wealthy few.
