I came to Congress because I wanted to make a difference for the people of Rhode Island. During my 8 years as state treasurer, I worked to lower costs for working people across Rhode Island. Now, we’re facing a housing crisis, and it’s far past time to find creative, bipartisan solutions to help our neighbors.

I’m working with the National Parks Service to make it easier to repurpose old mill buildings to expand the supply of affordable and accessible housing. This is a common sense way for us to tackle the housing crisis.
