Wisconsin's April 7 election endangered public health and undermined democracy, requiring that many people risk their lives to exercise their right to vote.

Fraught with widespread chaos and confusion, this process disenfranchised thousands of voters – many of them people of color and people with disabilities – while putting the collective health of all Wisconsinites in jeopardy. Sign our petition calling on state leaders to make necessary changes to our voting system that will safeguard people's health as well as their voting rights amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The carelessness of our public officials who allowed this election to take place, despite knowing the extraordinary risks associated with doing so, was shameful.
