Hello, Friends —
As many of you are aware, President Trump survived an assassination attempt on his life during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, this past weekend. As a personal friend of mine, this incident was deeply jarring, and I thank God that the President was able to walk away with only a minor injury.
They tried to impeach President Trump. They are trying to imprison him. Now, they have tried to assassinate him. No politician in our country’s history has ever faced these kinds of efforts to be stopped. Every time they try to put him down, the American people become more committed to the vision for the country that President Trump embodies. President Trump is determined to save this country from the path of ruin that we are on.
On Monday, I introduced a bipartisan resolution in House of Representatives with Rep. Jared Moskowitz (FL-23) to honor Corey Comperatore, the civilian who was killed while shielding his family during the attempted assassination. This resolution also condemns any form of political violence.
Corey was a father, a former fire department chief, and is now a hero in our movement. He should not have lost his life exercising his First Amendment right by going to a political rally. Corey’s selfless and courageous actions exemplify the highest standards of bravery and devotion to both his family and his country. This resolution seeks to commemorate his extraordinary bravery and unwavering commitment to public service after he heroically sacrificed his life while shielding his family from gunfire intended for the President.
Additionally, many of you have questions about how the Secret Service could have allowed this incident to happen. This week, Rep. James Comer subpoenaed the Director of Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, ensuring she will appear before the House Oversight Committee. Rest assured, Congress will investigate and get to the bottom of how this catastrophic failure was allowed to occur. Until then, I will be praying for Donald Trump’s continued safety!

REP. GAETZ APPLAUDS JUDGE AILEEN CANNON'S DISMISSAL OF TRUMP CLASSIFIED DOCUMENTS CASE
I applaud Judge Aileen Cannon’s decision on Monday dismissing the Trump documents case in federal court in the free State of Florida. Her decision confirms what all of us knew already—that Jack Smith was unlawfully appointed, and his political persecutions of President Trump are entirely unconstitutional.
Private citizen Jack Smith is not an employee of the Department of Justice and should immediately shut his offices and stop illegally spending taxpayer money.

REP. GAETZ REACTS TO ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT ASSAULTING 14-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN FORT WALTON BEACH
On Wednesday, a 20-year-old illegal immigrant from Honduras was arrested and charged with sexual battery and burglary after he sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl in Fort Walton Beach last April.
This is exactly why we need to get Joe Biden out of the White House. I look forward to working with President Trump to secure the border once and for all.

TEAM GAETZ ATTENDS VICTORY VILLAGE DEED SIGNING CEREMONY
Last Friday, my team attended the Victory Village deed signing ceremony. This was a humbling day to see this six-year long project finally come to fruition. In 2018, Brooke McLean and his team approached me to help with an expansion of the Air Force Enlisted Village. Through six long years of hard work and cooperation with former Senator Bill Nelson, we were able to get language in the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) allowing the Air Force to sell land to make that dream a reality.
This will transform the Air Force Enlisted Village into a community able to serve all our services retirees as well as our wounded warriors and their caregivers. I am immensely grateful to have been able to help with this important effort and look forward to the day the Village exists on more than just paper!
TEAM GAETZ ATTENDS FLAG RAISING CEREMONY AT NEW FREEDOM TECHNOLOGY CENTER
On Thursday, my team was proud to attend the flag raising and ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Freedom Technology Center in Fort Walton Beach. This was another prime example of our military and civilian communities coming together to address our mutual problems.
This 52-acre parcel belongs to the Air Force but is being developed under a long-term enhanced use lease. Once fully developed, the land will include two hotels, 312 modern apartments, and numerous restaurants and office spaces, all of which will be generating tax revenue for our local governments!

FBI identifies gunman as Thomas Matthew Crooks in Trump assassination attempt
“Someone died today at a Trump rally and my wife Ginger and I are praying for their soul and their family and there’s no place for this type of violence in our country and our politics. President Trump leads rallies that are inspirational and positive and patriotic and the fact that this type of bloodshed would be visited on our presidential politics is very very un-American and it must be rejected.”
