Make America Great Once Again.
Ā
That was the rallying cry at the Republican National Convention, and it carried more weight than ever before.
Ā
Iām not usually one for pep rallies, but President Trumpās survival of a harrowing assassination attempt marked a seismic shiftānot only for him but for the entire party. Heck, even some of his former rivals came out in strong support of him this week.
Ā
To be honest, I canāt remember the last time Republicans were this united.
Ā
Thereās a lot of chatter about Bidenās next move as pressure mounts for him to drop out of the race. Will he or wonāt he? Frankly, I donāt think itāll make a dadgum difference. The RNC was proof that conservatism is alive and well in America, and itās time to usher in a new era of prosperityātogether.
Ā
Make America Wealthy Again.
Ā
Make America Safe Again.
Ā
Make America Strong Again.
Ā
Those were the GOPās themes of the week, and they get to the very heart of what weāre trying to achieve in November. I hear it whenever Iām door knocking across East Tennessee: people of all ages feel like the American dream is slipping through their fingers.
Ā
Our sons and daughters canāt afford to buy their first homes, and seniors can barely afford essentials at the grocery store. Veterans are sleeping on the streets, but we're welcoming and housing illegal immigrants. Weāre watching wars and turmoil unfold across the globe, and our enemies are waiting in the wings because they know weāre vulnerable on the leadership front.
Ā
All this to say, weāre living in scary times, but we have the power to change all this if we can win in a landslide up and down the ballot in November.
Ā
What matters now is that we keep this palpable momentum going. We canāt get comfortable and assume weāve got this thing in the bagāthe race has just begun. Letās restore the promise of America and fight for our future, for our families, and for our freedom.
Ā
Itās our moment to make history, and if we can stay united, I believe we really can make America great once again.Ā
