The GOP is readying to pour substantial resources into our district – which is a D+3 – a purple seat held by a Democratic member.

How do I know this?

The NRCC chair, Congressman Richard Hudson of North Carolina, recently stated “If it’s a D+3, we already got you,” referring to seats that Biden won by three points in 2020. “We’re looking at D+11 and plus. … We’ve seen numbers all cycle that show we can win [in] a number of places like that.”

John, Hudson’s comment is a warning that the race in Connecticut’s 2nd Congressional District – a D+3 seat is on the GOP radar as I can attest, this has been the case before. Washington Republicans have come after my seat over and over again since I first won it by 83 votes, and they’ll do it again if they think national trends are in their favor. Can I count on you to chip in $10 or whatever you can today to help advertise on television, digital, and radio, build campaign infrastructure, and have the on-the-ground presence necessary to mobilize supporters and get-out-the-vote? With the 2024 elections projected to be the most expensive cycle in history, my record and fundraising performance are being closely watched by both sides. We need all of the help we can get to fight back against the MILLIONS of dollars that national Republicans are prepared to pour into the November elections.
