In times of crisis, we need to come together and take urgent action. That’s what Alex is doing as Mayor of Holyoke to respond to COVID-19.

Throughout our country, we’re already seeing the dramatic effects of the climate crisis. And, if we don’t take action, those effects are going to worsen. 

Alex believes it’s time for a Green New Deal that will shape a society that cares for our environment, upholds human dignity, and protects the most vulnerable.

His plan includes: 

* Swiftly transitioning to a 100% renewable energy future

* Holding polluters accountable

* Ensuring a just transition for frontline communities and workers

* Guaranteeing environmental justice

* Supporting our farmers by investing in regenerative agriculture

* Upgrading our local housing stock
