Team, we’ve got to level with you today.

Things haven’t been going as well as we had hoped.

We were counting on the Republican National Convention — four days of extremism and noise from the MAGA right — to wake people up.

Instead, our grassroots fundraising dropped off. And not in a small way.

That’s a real concern for us because Arizona is the center of this whole thing, and this race between Kari Lake and Ruben Gallego will determine control of the U.S. Senate.

Experts have Arizona as one of the most likely states to flip. Polls have this race tied at best, and Kari Lake projected to win at worst — including one from just this week.

We’re seeing huge spending against Ruben, and Lake is surely surging after her prime-time speech at the convention.

We know you can’t donate to every email we send your way. And we don’t expect you to. But we’re hoping that you can today, because we’re fighting uphill out here and the odds keep on stacking up higher against us.
