For four days, MAGA Republicans tried to use misinformation, scapegoating, and fear mongering to convince the American people that Donald Trump is the country’s best and only shot at greatness. Last night, Trump took the stage and reminded us—in the most meandering fashion—just how unfit he still is for the Oval Office. 

Trump spoke for over 90 minutes, and what started out as calls for unity quickly turned into a scattered web of lies about immigrants, election fraud, the economy, and the threat Trump himself poses to our democracy. 

We didn’t need last night’s record-long speech to understand just how bad a second Trump term would be for our country and our democracy.
