# [#]My deepest condolences go out to all the victims and families impacted this weekend by the shooting that took place at Donald Trump’s rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Regardless of our background, location, or political affiliations, most Americans agree that violence has no place in our political process.

We all have the right to live our lives, convene with our communities, and participate in our political process peacefully - whether we’re campaigning for office or walking through a school hallway.

This is a time for leaders of all parties to resolve to bridge our divisions, and work to unite and maintain a democracy of, for, and by the people.

Add your name here to join me in denouncing political violence of all kinds. We must come together to strengthen our democracy. [[link removed]]

This years’ elections offer voters an opportunity to choose a nation where no one lives in fear for their own safety or that of their loved ones. We can create a country that prohibits weapons of war, ensuring they aren’t used against politicians, schoolchildren, moviegoers, or concert attendees.
