This week’s Republican National Convention was light on policy. But do you know what’s not? Project 2025.

It’s a 900+ page meticulously detailed right-wing policy plan, drafted by the very people who could serve in a second Donald Trump administration. It includes:

• Military raids to deport up to 5 million immigrants¹

• Purging 50,000 civil servants and replacing them with Trump loyalists²

• Gutting racial equity programs and climate initiatives³

• Taking SNAP food assistance away from families while making it tougher to access benefits⁴

• Threatening health care coverage for up to 18.5 million Americans via a Medicaid lifetime cap⁵

• Extending the 2017 Trump tax cuts for the wealthy while deepening giveaways to corporations⁶

• Shutting down the Department of Education and stripping the enforcement authority of the Office of Civil Rights

• And, diverting billions of dollars in public school funding to private school vouchers while gutting funding for special education and schools that serve low-income children⁷

This right-wing agenda seeks to shut down federal agencies ranging from the IRS to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

It would destroy the Department of Education, the Federal Drug Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Labor Relations Board, and much more.

Many critical policies and institutions that we take for granted would be on the chopping block, leading to a lack of consumer protections, environmental protections, and even public education as we know it.

With less than four months until Election Day, major news networks must cover Project 2025. The American people have a right to know what is on the line this election year and how it will affect our future.

Project 2025 seeks to redefine what it means to be American, excluding anyone who doesn't fit their narrow, right-wing vision. They want to gut the federal government’s role in helping families meet their basic needs. They want to divide us by race, religion, and sexual orientation. They want to silence dissent, crush independent institutions, and concentrate power in the hands of a few who have pledged their loyalty to a president, not their country.

But even as this plan hides in plain sight, its policies are widely unpopular with the American people. That’s why major news networks must educate voters on the threat that Project 2025 poses to the future of our democracy as we know it.

This is a critical moment to stand up for the values of justice and equality that make our country great. Because this is a country of the many, not the few.
