Supporting Wisconsin Workers
With the eyes of the political world on Wisconsin this week, it has been a great opportunity to discuss issues important to Wisconsin families. On Monday, I joined Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin and U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty for a panel exploring the policies needed to secure the long-term growth and prosperity of manufacturing in America. Manufacturing has long been a strength in Wisconsin, and we want to keep it that way.
We discussed many important topics including what strategies have seen success in our home states, addressing expiring tax provisions, and more.

It was great to have Governor Youngkin and Senator Hagerty in Wisconsin for a discussion on the future of manufacturing.
Advancing American Growth and Innovation
This week, I joined the Blockchain Sessions to discuss digital assets and the many opportunities that lie dormant. With Web 1 and 2, American innovators like Apple and Google brought us access to an endless stream of information and possibilities.
The way our economy functions is transforming, and our most successful companies are taking notice. 56% of Fortune 500 executives say their companies are investing in blockchain-based initiatives and 53% of small businesses say they’re seeking out crypto-savvy job applicants.
While there are still challenges to overcome like fraudsters, criminals, and money launderers, some in Washington see crypto as a threat and solely focus on the bad actors. This has stifled innovation and pushed forward thinking businesses overseas.
Recently, I helped pass the Financial Innovation and Technology for the 21st Century Act (FIT 21), which establishes a clear regulatory framework for digital assets and helps combat against overbearing regulations coming out of Washington.
I addressed this bill's importance on the House Floor. Click here to watch the full clip.
We've reached an inflection point in digital assets and blockchain policy. It's crucial to ensure that proper frameworks are being implemented to support innovation and U.S. jobs and I'm hard at work to do just that.
Addressing the Challenges of Artificial Intelligence
I had the chance to sit down and discuss the challenges Artificial Intelligence (AI) can pose in our federal elections. From deceptive ads to AI generated impersonations, we covered a wide range of potential threats to election security.
I recently held a House Administration Committee hearing on Federal Election Commission (FEC) Oversight. After hearing from all 6 FEC commissioners last September, we are still waiting for a decision on whether the FEC will pursue regulations on deceptive AI in campaign ads.

As the Fall draws nearer, I am committed to ensuring the proper measures are taken to protect our federal elections from foreign influence. Discussions like these are critical to identifying the threats our federal elections face and how we can best mitigate their effects come November.
Thank you to Politico for hosting!
