A huge thank you to everyone who responded to my survey on which issues matter most to you – I was thrilled to see so many submissions! Your feedback is crucial to the work I do and helps me be the best public servant possible for the people of Vermont. 

Let’s take a look at the results: 

Advocating for working families is my North Star, which is why it’s so helpful for me to know which issues are top of mind for Vermonters. Whether it’s health care, reproductive rights, or investing in education, I’ll always fight for you in Congress.

So many of you told me that high-quality, affordable health care was your number one issue – and I completely agree! In rural communities, health care facilities are often too few and far between. That’s why I was so proud to secure $2.1 million to expand health care centers and ensure that emergency responders have the resources they need to keep our towns safe and healthy. 

Reproductive rights are on all of our minds right now as well. Just last month, I introduced the Stop Comstock Act – because I know that Trump and other far-right extremists have a plan in the works to abuse a law from 1873 (!) to implement a national abortion ban. I’ve also led the effort to enshrine abortion rights in Vermont’s State Constitution to guarantee that we remain a safe haven for folks seeking critical care.
