With the RNC underway, it’s a big reminder for our team that the Democratic National Convention is in Chicago next month!
Conventions are critical — it’s where we officially nominate President Biden, but it’s also time to hear from party leaders, set our agenda moving forward, and meet with folks across the country to plan, strategize, and work to elect Democrats across the nation!
But we’ll be honest: It’s also darn expensive — especially during an election year.
The OK Dems have to raise THOUSANDS to help cover our delegates' and staff’s travel, meals, and lodging for the convention before August 1, and we’re counting on our grassroots donors to help us out. And, spoiler alert, the folks we send to the convention are just normal, everyday, working people who are taking time out of their lives and paychecks to participate in democracy.
We are Democratic strong, powered by grassroots efforts and activists of this Great State. Our mission is to fight for Oklahoma’s most vulnerable communities, protect working families and ensure that we live up to the promises of the Oklahoma dream.
