Friends,

I write to update you on my recent work and the important work of Congress in the days ahead.

The abhorrent attempted assassination of President Donald Trump deserves a complete and immediate investigation. The failures were immense and confidence in core responsibilities of the federal government is at rock bottom. Next week, Congress has requested Secret Service Director Cheatle and FBI Director Wray testify. We need answers and accountability from all.

Beyond this most urgent work, below are recent key actions I’ve taken on behalf of our communities.

Issa Blasts Plan to Place Sexually Violent Predator in Poway

Last week, California attempted to place a sexually violent predator in Poway. I was proud to see the community unite to block this move and challenge Newsom and Sacramento’s harmful policy that places these predators in our neighborhoods.

Issa Introduces Bill Reforming Third-Party Financed Litigation

I introduced legislation that will mandate disclosure of third-party litigation financing in civil lawsuits to protect intellectual property and ensure transparency.

Lowering Prescription Drug Costs

I introduced legislation that will drive prescription drug prices down by increasing competition in the market.

Issa Comments on Supreme Court decision in Trump v. United States.

The Democrat campaign of warp-speed warfare and weaponizing prosecutions collided with the Constitution. The Supreme Court rightfully decided to uphold years of precedent of presidential immunity.

Standing up Against Media Bias

Last week, I met with Ben Shapiro and took on coordinated bias against conservative media outlets in the House Judiciary Committee.

CSIS South China Sea Conference

I spoke at the CSIS South China Sea Conference, discussing America’s Indo-Pacific strategy in the face of CCP aggression.

As always, it is an honor to serve as your representative in Congress. For more information, please visit my website at www.issa.house.gov.
