This week, Rep. He also pushed for change in the way leaders in both parties speak, and encouraged more civility.

"We’re in this era where if you don’t believe 100% the way I want you to believe or the way I believe that you’re my enemy,” Loudermilk said. “The only way that we can bring this level down, it’s up to us. It’s up to the leaders in this nation and the media also."

This week, Rep. Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) joined Rep. Diana Harshbarger (TN-01) and 14 of their colleagues in supporting a letter, asking the House Judiciary Committee to consider H.R. 5423, legislation to give the Romeike family permanent residency status in the United States.

Recently, Rep. Barry Loudermilk (GA-11) joined Rep. Richard Hudson (NC-9) and Senator Ted Budd (R-NC) and over 80 of their colleagues in a bicameral letter to U.S. Army Secretary Christine Wormuth, demanding answers and transparency regarding social media posts and reports that anti-terrorism training conducted at Fort Liberty labels pro-life organizations as "terrorists."

The lawmakers wrote, "Smearing Pro-Life Americans is despicable and emblematic of the ongoing politicization of the military under the Biden-Harris administration."

"The American public expects the Department of Defense and its personnel to defend the homeland from actual terrorists, not Americans who seek protections for children in the womb. Labeling Pro-Life organizations as threats challenges servicemembers’ moral obligation to defend and protect even the smallest among us," the lawmakers continued. "It is no wonder that the Army is struggling to recruit young men and women to join its ranks when it appears the service attacks their values and promotes a woke agenda rather than improving readiness and lethality."

"While Ft. Liberty’s statement asserts that the slides “do not reflect the views of the ...the U.S. Army or the Department of Defense”, the American people are rightfully concerned that training of this kind is being disseminated in the first place and possibly at other military installations. The American people deserve to be assured that these slides truly do not reflect the Army’s views, that a full investigation will be conducted, and that the offending employee will be properly held accountable," the lawmakers concluded.

The Director of the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) appointed by President Joe Biden has come under scrutiny from Republicans over her support for initiatives to diversify the agency.

This comes after the hallowed protective agency failed to stop an assassination attempt on GOP candidate Donald Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania that left one audience member dead and three injured, including Trump himself.

Cheatle has come under scrutiny from Republican critics, who argue that her efforts to diversify the elite agency dedicated to the protection of our highest officials created vulnerabilities.

“I think the the honorable thing to do this step aside, at some point there, my concern is, is that the focus of the mission is not is not the top priority with her,” Rep. Barry Loudermilk said on the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show on Monday.

“DEI, you know, social justice these things have crept into every element of our government. And I don't have any concrete evidence on this other than what I've heard, but I'm afraid that some of these social issues have taken precedent within the Secret Service,” he added, invoking a common criticism from Republicans focusing on recent efforts to implement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion standards in various industries.
