John -
Today marks the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day. On April 22, 1970, millions of concerned citizens and activists took to the streets to demand environmental action to heal our planet.
Today we are celebrating #EarthDayAtHome as we confront and respond to the COVID-19 crisis. And yet bad actors are currently trying to use this public health crisis as a malicious false cover to push for further deregulation and destruction of our environment.
Make no mistake: the climate crisis is a public health crisis.
Since this administration took office in 2017, I have taken 162 Environmental Actions, challenging any attempt to roll back or undermine efforts to protect our environment and combat the climate crisis. I have stood up for what I know is right and fought for our collective futures and our planet.
162 times and counting.
To honor Earth Day and to help continue the fight for environmental action, we are launching our Earth Day Challenge! We are calling on folks to stand with us and join our grassroots movement.

Anything you can spare will make a meaningful impact on our fight for environmental action and protection -- but please, only pitch in if you can.
I hope you're staying safe and taking care of your loved ones.
Ellen
