Cutting Red Tape
Michigan?s government should work for Michiganders. Our boards, councils, and commissions represent diverse interests, industries, and perspectives that support people, small businesses, and communities. However, some of these boards no longer served their original purposes. That?s why I am taking proactive action to reorganize these boards, ensuring they can keep doing their important work effectively and efficiently. These changes will better protect taxpayer dollars by ensuring our government is as efficient and streamlined as possible. Together, we can reduce red tape and help our government better serve the people it represents. Let?s get it done.
You can learn more about boards/commissions and apply for an appointment by visiting www.michigan.gov/appointments.
By making our government resources more accessible and eliminating barriers, we are continuing to build on our momentum to ensure Michigan is a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Together, we are making our state government more responsive, transparent, and accessible for everyone.
Sincerely,
Gretchen Whitmer
Governor
