Earlier this week, Mike Lawler's campaign called on me to apologize for calling Donald Trump and vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance threats to democracy.

Let me be clear: I will do no such thing.

I narrowly survived the insurrection at the Capitol on January 6, 2021. I won't be gaslit into not calling Trump and Vance threats to democracy when they have clearly demonstrated they are.

Trump has said he wants to “terminate” the Constitution, jail his political opponents, and be a dictator “on Day One.” Vance has stated that he would have overturned the 2020 election. And Mike Lawler supports them both.

John, this election is about saving our democracy. I won't back down under pressure. Will you chip in to help me defeat Mike Lawler and build a pro-democracy House majority?
