Trump and Vance have not been shy about their thoughts on the environment. Donald Trump was the worst president on the environment in U.S. history, and he has gotten even worse on our issues since he left office.
Trump has continuously doubled down on his anti-climate, anti-environment agenda, and it’s so much worse than that, John. Project 2025, a blueprint for a Trump-Vance administration, includes horrific plans for our environment, including directives like:
# Decimate vital government agencies like the EPA, NOAA, and the FDA;
# Deregulate big polluters;
# Repeal the Inflation Reduction Act and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law; and
# Expand oil and gas drilling.
Donald Trump has found a willing partner in his new running mate. J.D. Vance is on record calling green energy a “fantasy” as he calls for more natural gas, labels zero-emitting electric vehicles a “scam,” and said the Inflation Reduction Act — the most aggressive action in tackling the climate crisis in U.S history — does nothing for the environment.
A Trump-Vance administration would spell disaster for our environment and people across the country. We must act now and do everything we can to vote climate champions into office this November.

During the last four days at the RNC — as extreme heat, wildfires, and poor air quality wreak havoc on so many people across the country — the only time climate change has come up is when politicians have denied the science and decried the work we need to do in order to slash climate pollution and create a safer planet.
