Oheyawahe Interpretive Plan
Oheyawahe - a sacred Dakota site in Mendota Heights that is also on the National Register of Historic Places - is a place of importance for the Dakota community and other Indigenous people. With funding from the Minnesota Historical Society, the City is working in partnership with Dakota County, the Oheyawahe Task Force, and Full Circle Indigenous Planning + Design, to implement the first two of four phases of an interpretive program, providing a comprehensive educational experience to visitors at Oheyawahe for many years to come.

Night to Unite 2024
Each year on the first Tuesday night in August, the City of Mendota Heights hosts Night to Unite, a summer evening dedicated to celebrating and strengthening the commitment to a safe community.
For residents, this is an opportunity to put together a neighborhood celebration, turn on the front porch lights, gather with neighbors and friends, get to know one another, catch up on things, play some games with the kids, enjoy a few hot-off-the-grill favorites and build a sense of community.
Night to Unite 2024 is Tuesday, Aug. 6.
Neighborhood representatives are asked to register their Night to Unite events by Aug. 2, so members of the Police, Fire and Ambulance service can stop by to visit.
Register your neighborhood event today!
