I am excited to share some news with you but before I do, I wanted to inform you, during an election period, legislators cannot use state resources for unsolicited communications because it might create an unfair advantage. Therefore, this will be my last e-update until after the election.

In honor of the 50th anniversary of Southeast Asian communities in Minnesota, the Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) is proud to launch a grant program that aims to support historical and cultural projects that preserve, recognize, and celebrate the profound contributions of Southeast Asian Minnesotans.

I am proud to have authored and passed legislation securing funding for this grant program. I'm thrilled to encourage cultural community organizations, historical organizations, and veterans' organizations to apply! This grant can provide the funding you need to bring your impactful project to life. 

Whether you're planning an art exhibit celebrating local traditions, developing educational programs about our past, or creating a space to honor veterans' sacrifices, this grant can help make it happen.

I look forward to celebrating together the rich history and enduring legacy of Southeast Asians in Minnesota.
