Last night, Donald Trump spoke at the GOP convention and accepted the Republican nomination for President - but he forgot to mention that his plan is to destroy our environment.
The truth is that Donald Trump is the worst climate President in our nation’s history. He has promised to be a dictator on “day one” and allow corporations to pollute our environment while ignoring scientists and health experts.
Donald Trump calls climate change a “hoax” and has promised to let Big Oil and gas corporations pump toxics into our air and water, exposing our families to chemicals linked to cancer, asthma, and even brain damage.
In fact, Trump has already made a $1 billion deal with Big Oil to let them pollute our environment with no consequences, in exchange for helping him win this election. And in return Trump will side with Big Oil companies to gut more than 125 environmental protections, leaving our air and water dirtier and allow them to poison our most vulnerable communities.
If elected, Trump would screw the middle class by gutting our nation’s clean energy economy, taking away cleaner and more affordable energy choices, and giving more tax handouts to the ultra-wealthy while removing tax credits for electric vehicles and solar panels.
