ACTION ALERT

We have a chance to help strengthen funding for UNFPA for the next 5 years by putting pressure on Congress to pass the Support UNFPA Funding Act. Will you click below to send a letter to your representative urging them to back the Support UNFPA Funding Act?

Women and girls across the globe deserve the rights and care that UNFPA delivers — no matter what. But unfortunately, there is no guarantee that the United States, UNFPA’s largest donor, continuously funds that lifesaving work.

Right now, the US President can roll back funding for UNFPA at any time. There are real world repercussions on our humanitarian work for women and girls if UNFPA funding is abruptly cut off.

But with your help, we can end this uncertainty. Rep. Chrissy Houlahan introduced H.R. 4166, the Support UNFPA Funding Act, last year to authorize funding for the services and care that UNFPA provides to women and girls around the world for the next five years. So far, the bill has over 100 cosponsors in Congress, but we’re counting on compassionate supporters like you to help move the needle further.

That’s why we drafted a letter for you to send to your representative, urging them to co-sponsor the Support UNFPA Funding Act and maintain vocal support. Will you send a letter to help ensure that we have the funding we need to continue our lifesaving work?

The funding that we receive from the US allows us to be the first on the ground in humanitarian crises and begin delivering aid immediately to women and girls. It allows us to deliver over one million babies in fragile settings, prevent over 30,000 maternal deaths, and help millions of women prevent unintended pregnancies each year.

To put it bluntly, to lose this funding abruptly would have real, disastrous repercussions.

And this call to action has now become more critical than ever with the House Appropriations Committee Republicans releasing a draft fiscal year 2025 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs funding bill that specifically prohibits the United States from funding UNFPA.

That’s why we have to ask: Will you send a letter to your representative to urge them to sign the Support UNFPA Funding Act? The letter is already drafted for you — all that you need to do is add your name and send it off!

Thank you for your unyielding support. With your help, we are truly making a difference for every woman and girl, no matter what.
