John,

Throughout my career in politics, I’ve had one guiding principle: Love.

Love is the reason why, as a first-time candidate running for Newark City Council, I went on a hunger strike to draw attention to the desperation facing the most vulnerable communities in our city.

Love motivated me to run for mayor, and after coming up short the first time, love motivated me to get back up and try again.

Love is what has carried me through days when it feels like the entire nation is inescapably focused on destructive acts of hate.

In the times we’re living through, there’s no such thing as too much love — it’s what keeps folks safe, gives us hope when we have none, and inspires us to create the America we know is possible.

I am so grateful that you have chosen to come on this journey with me, because that too is an act of love.

There are many forces inside and outside of politics that will still seek to divide us, but I am confident that if we stick together, there is no obstacle that can stand between us or stop us from fulfilling our promise to one another — to build a government of, by, and for the people where no one gets left behind.

So John, I’m humbly asking: If you can afford it, will you pitch in a donation of $5 or more to help me defend our Senate majority and keep love on the agenda in Congress? Any amount you can give will go a long way.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thank you for choosing love. Our movement is stronger for having you with us.

With love and gratitude,

Cory
