John,
I grew up in Wisconsin, so I know how wacky the political scene can be. After all, we are the state that sent both Tammy Baldwin and Ron Johnson to the U.S. Senate! But the April election was one of the most outlandish we’ve seen. Despite the abundance of health risks, shuttered voting locations and overall confusion, Wisconsin voters still made their way to the polls to exercise their right to vote.
It’s clear that anti-equality forces did everything they could to suppress the vote: issuing court challenges, blocking vote-by-mail and closing voting booths. But despite their best efforts, three of our amazing LGBTQ candidates claimed victory on election night. Help keep the momentum going – chip in to elect more of our LGBTQ candidates today!
Here’s the scary thing though: these bigots aren’t finished. More challenges in states like Texas, Pennsylvania and North Carolina are popping up. We’re going to need a huge surge of donations to protect our candidates in these states. Will you make a rush donation to support our candidates right now?
Bigots know they could lose their iron grip on these three state legislatures. They’re going to do everything they can to protect their majorities, even if it means using a pandemic to stop pro-equality voters from going to the polls. And when they win, they’ll pass more anti-trans, anti-equality and anti-science legislation.
We can’t let that happen, John. We’ve seen too much harmful legislation in Texas, Pennsylvania and North Carolina already. We can flip these legislatures, but we need you to do it. Make a rush donation today.
Thanks again for your support,
Elliot Imse

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power – so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
