Earlier this week, we announced a $12 million investment of state money in People's Settlement - an organization that’s had an impact on many of my friends from the East Side, including State Senator Darius Brown.

This investment is in more than just a building. It means more programming. Increased access to child care. And more for the community.

Governor Carney, Congresswoman Blunt Rochester, Senator Darius Brown, and other members of the General Assembly breaking ground with gold shovels on the new building at People's Settlement Association.

Over the coming weeks I’ll be sending out some more information on the investments we’ve made across the city -- from Riverside to Southbridge. But I wanted to make sure you saw this.
