On Day One of the Republican National Convention, we finally got our answer of who Donald Trump’s VP pick would be. Enter Ohio Junior Senator, JD Vance: 🤮
Despite the fact that Vance once said that Trump, “might be America’s Hitler” and called those who voted for him, “idiots”, Vance has since reinvented himself to become a reliable MAGA rally in the Senate.
Here’s just a short list of everything you need to know about Trump’s running-mate:
- Said the overturning of Roe v. Wade would be an "amazing victory" and said that he didn't believe in any exceptions for abortion bans.
- Is a known 2020 election-denier who backed Trump’s fake-elector plot — saying then Vice-President Mike Pence should have counted their votes — and downplayed the January 6th insurrection.
- Invested in an app and multiple companies that sold American farmland to Chinese citizens and outsourced manufacturing to China.
- Headed a nonprofit dedicated to solving the ongoing opioid crisis — in reality he hired a doctor with ties to the very same companies pushing these dangerous drugs.
That is who the GOP has picked as their vice presidential nominee. A uniquely unqualified candidate with a clear lack of morals outside what he deems to be politically expedient, centering his own agenda and interests above Ohioans and potentially all of us.
We can do better than JD Vance. We deserve better than JD Vance. We demand better than JD Vance.
