Whether he’s tweeting attacks toward a great American city like Baltimore, naming the wrong city when addressing a community struck by tragedy, or allowing for inhumane policies at our southern border, President Trump needs to do better.

It’s as simple as that: Trump must do better.

Children are our living messengers to a future we will never see. They deserve to see a president held to a higher standard. We must ensure that the history they tell their children about is better than the one we are laying out for them right now.

We must stop the incendiary rhetoric that seeks to divide us. We must put an end to the senseless violence devastating our country. We must protect the most vulnerable among us.
