Friend,

Whether you’ve been unable to make yourself watch the Republican National
Convention, or have been unable to tear yourself away, I want you to know
that People For has been on the ground, in the streets, and on the
airwaves. We have just a few months to save generations of social
progress, and maybe democracy itself. We’re all in.

Here’s some of the work that your support has made possible this week:

* Our Political Director Markus Batchelor and Research Director Peter
Montgomery have been in Milwaukee connecting with allies and talking
to reporters about the threat posed by Trump and his MAGA Republicans.
* Our digital and communications team put images from our Artists for
Democracy on the streets of Milwaukee with a [ [link removed] ]digital billboard
truck, along with messages about the urgent need to vote to defend our
courts from more bad Trump judges.

* On-the-ground reporting from Right Wing Watch documented and exposed
extremist rhetoric being used at far-right gatherings taking place
away from the main stage.
* We produced and ran [ [link removed] ]a television ad featuring Norman Lear
testifying to People For’s commitment to defending democracy and equal
opportunity during CNN and MSNBC’s prime time coverage of the
convention.

The message being delivered by the MAGA Republicans and by too many media
outlets is that the election is over, that Trump’s show of strength after
the assassination attempt somehow makes him unbeatable. Don’t believe it.

This election is not over. We know that most Americans do not support
Trump, his Christian nationalist MAGA movement, or the devastating Project
2025 agenda. We know that there are many Republicans, especially women,
who understand that Trump is a threat to our rights, freedoms, and future.

It’s true that the momentum is on their side. We are in trouble and there
is a vast amount of work to do in the weeks ahead. And we need to focus on
the key House and Senate races that are critical to Democratic control of
Congress.

We must reach, reenergize and remobilize the coalition that defeated Trump
in 2020, delivered the Senate, and cut deeply into the House majority. And
we must expand on it in key target states. And for that we need your help.

We are committed to fighting with everything we have over the next few
months to make sure that the dangerous Donald Trump does not become our
president, and the brutally harmful Project 2025 agenda does not become
our future.
