Today is the final day of the Republican National Convention. Before it’s over, Chris wanted to film an explainer for you about Project 2025 — the Republican plan to destroy our democracy.

Project 2025 was written by Trump’s top acolytes and allies. It details a plan to weaponize the federal government, criminalize abortion, target gay and transgender people, and persecute anyone who dares to disagree with Donald Trump.

It’s not hyperbole when we say this: Republicans want to convert American democracy to American autocracy.
