The climate deniers are huddling in Milwaukee this week, and their platform is a disgrace:

However, what their platform includes is even worse. Their platform would:

• Withdraw us from the Paris Agreement
• Increase fossil fuel production
• Remove the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP)
• End spending of federal funds to help the world’s poorest countries transition to wind, solar, and other renewable energy.

And worst of all, their platform includes removing climate change as a national security concern, despite research showing that rising sea levels, extreme weather, and other effects of global warming are destabilizing our planet.

This election is a choice about which battleground we want to fight on in the next five years. When we’re taking on the most powerful people in the world—Big Oil, the military-industrial complex, Wall Street—we need the most favorable battleground possible, the one where the odds are most in our favor.
