The White House may be trying to cut up to $4 billion in foreign aid that
YOU fought for! Don’t let them get away with it.

Last year, the Trump administration tried to pull this same accounting
scheme to cut $3 billion in foreign aid -- but ONE members helped stop it!
And, John, we need you to show up again.

Without your voice, the White House just might succeed in bypassing
Congress (otherwise known as your elected representatives) to cut up to $4
billion worth of critical funds needed for the fight against extreme
poverty and preventable disease.

Send a letter to your congressional leaders RIGHT NOW and tell them to
urge the White House to abandon this dangerous scheme.

The letter reads:

Dear Representative,

Please urge the Trump administration to abandon its attempts to cut the
foreign aid budget. This is yet another backdoor attempt to bypass
Congress’ spending authority and the will of the American people -- and
more importantly, it’s reckless and puts millions of lives at risk.

I hope you will voice these concerns directly to the President, Secretary
Pompeo, and White House staff. Congress should do everything in its power
to prevent the Administration from ignoring spending bills and jamming
Congress with end-of-fiscal-year rescission packages.

As your constituent, I want you determining our nation's budget, not the
White House.
