Decades of organizing led to the historic wins of the 2023 and 2024 legislative sessions: paid sick leave statewide, free lunch in public schools, new protections against corporate polluters, and protections for trans youth and workers. The legislative leaders we elected together led, organized, and voted to get these policies over the finish line.

These wins are already having a big impact on thousands of Minnesotans. And there’s more these progressive leaders must deliver for us.

As we face rising fascism and authoritarianism and the U.S. Supreme Court rolls back our rights, it’s more important than ever to protect the DFL majority in the Minnesota House – while also building progressive power within the DFL. Our state has become – and must continue to be – a refuge for those seeking abortion care, trans and LGBTQ+ youth and adults, and people seeking stability in the face of climate disasters. We need a strong left flank prepared to push back on right-wing and corporate power grabs and act with moral clarity and courage for what Minnesotans need – now and in the future.
