Lucas made history - but to some people, he's just trans.
A man wearing a hat and leather jacket plays an acoustic guitar against a blue gradient background. The text on the left reads, "His unique sound TRANScends multiple genres.

Early on as a songwriter, Lucas struggled to find his voice. He started performing at 18 and played dive bars for a decade. But that was just his opening act.

Lucas reinvented himself in his thirties. He started a new band and found a new sound.

He signed a major label record deal and played Radio City Music Hall. He finally traded empty bars for sold out tours.

But to some people, he’s just trans.

Amid the ongoing rise in anti-2SLGBTQI hate, trans and gender diverse people are facing the brunt of the vitriol. Combatting the misinformation and disinformation about trans and gender diverse communities is more important than ever.
