Hi John,

Are you considering submitting to the Owyhee Art Contest this summer? Take a look at some of these great submissions and get artistic this weekend! You don’t need to have any previous art experience to create an art piece that showcases how important the Owyhee Canyonlands are to you. I’m not artistically talented or skilled, and I’ll be creating my own artwork to submit!

In case you forgot, this contest is open to any age, skill level, and art form. There will be two categories for winners, one for youth (under 18) and one for adults (over 18). The winning pieces will be presented to Senator Wyden and featured on our website. You do not have to live in Oregon to participate!

When submitting your artwork, you must provide your name and date of birth. Please share where you are from, and you can tell us more about your artwork or why the Owyhee Canyonlands are special to you.

Here are the two ways you can submit to the contest:

  1. Post your artwork on social media and use the hashtag #ProtectTheOwyhee and tag OLCV! (Twitter: @olcv | Facebook: @oregonlcv | Instagram: @olcv)
  2. Use this google form to upload your artwork and we will share it on social media for you

The deadline for submissions is Monday, September 2nd, and the winner will be announced shortly after. If you need more information, or would like to see other submissions, please click here. What will you be creating for the Owyhees?

Sincerely,
Sarah Kline
