Hey folks, Gavin Newsom here.
I've said it before, and I will say it again, the outcome of this election is not something we can just sit back and witness. It is something we must work toward ... something we must manifest.
I understand that many of you are feeling anxious about November. But we are not without agency in shaping the outcome.
Can we defeat Trump? Yes! The polls are all very close.
Can we hold the Senate? Yes! Democrats are leading in almost every race we have to win.
Can we take the House? Again, yes!
But none of our candidates working hard to get that done can do it alone.
I have been asked, in many races — from the presidential race, to Senate races, to House races, to campaign for Democrats running in close races.
We're talking about the fate and future of our democracy, this country and the world. They all need us right now, and so I will do as much of that as I can between now and November.
But I too cannot do it alone. And while I try to limit the fundraising asks I send, especially for myself, that is what I have to ask you to do today:

The truth is, we all have our roles to play if Democrats are going to win this fall. That's the only way it's going to happen. If we are simply witnesses, we'll lose. When act, Democrats can win.
