JOHN,
We have less than three weeks left before Rep. Cori Bush’s primary election.
Cori has been an outspoken advocate for Palestinians’ rights for years, after meeting Palestinian activists on the streets of Ferguson while protesting for Black lives.
Anti-Palestinian group AIPAC has already spent more than $4 million attacking Cori and supporting her anti-ceasefire opponent. After AIPAC’s Republican donors bought Jamaal Bowman’s deep blue Democratic seat in New York, now they’re trying to do the same in St. Louis.
We need to counter the attack ads and talk to local voters. Together, we can keep Cori in Congress and show that our progressive movement won’t be defeated.
Can you join Team Rashida at 6 pm ET tonight as we phonebank to re-elect Cori Bush to Congress?
After RSVPing, you’ll receive a Zoom link to join at the start of the phonebank session.
All you'll need at home is a computer with an internet connection. Congresswoman Bush's team will take care of the rest—including training for those who need it!
If you can’t make it tonight or future Thursdays, you can sign up with our allies at Working Families Party to phonebank on Wednesdays or the final days before Cori’s primary election.
Cori Bush led our Ceasefire Now resolution in Congress last fall, and together with grassroots activists, we’ve pushed our government to invest in our communities rather than in genocide or police violence.
Cori continues to push for our shared humanity with bold legislation to guarantee housing as a human right, to enact reparations and reproductive justice, to expand the Supreme Court, and more.
Meanwhile, her opponent ran the political campaign of an anti-abortion extremist, and anti-abortion Republicans are now backing his campaign to sell out St. Louis. We can’t let them win.
If you aren’t able to make phone calls to help re-elect Cori Bush, can you chip in to her re-election campaign today?
In solidarity,
Rashida
P.S. In case you haven’t seen yet, I’m also joining Cori tomorrow night for a virtual fundraiser for her campaign. Learn more and RSVP here if you’re interested.
